From September 2019 onwards, all existing and new producer members of POIG are required to undergo annual audits to verify compliance with the POIG Charter using the September 2019 version of the POIG Charter indicators.

Third-party auditors conducting verification assessments to evaluate POIG producer members compliance with the Charter are also required to follow the POIG Verification Audit Requirements (updated on August 2019), and utilise the official report template for the development of POIG verification reports. The report template is available upon request at [email protected].

Announcements regarding upcoming POIG audits and the status of verification assessments are provided in the following tables. Upon completion of POIG’s internal review process, all annual verification reports are also made available below.

Trial audits (2014)
The first version of the verification indicators was released in April 2014 and was field tested by the founding grower members of POIG: Agropalma, DAABON, and New Britain Palm Oil ^[1]. The results of the trial audits are available below:

[1] New Britain Palm Oil is a founding member of the Palm Oil Innovation Group, and carried out a successful verification audit against the POIG Charter requirements and pilot indicators in October 2014. In February 2015 NBPOL was acquired by Sime Darby Bhd, which is not a POIG member. POIG requires membership at a parent-company level so NBPOL is not currently a POIG member.
